Ayurvedic Detoxification

Ayurveda is one of the oldest Indian medicine that offers holistic treatments. Panchakarma is one of the unique specialties in Ayurveda that has been a successful healing therapy. Panchakarma is a simple 5 step process that renews and regenerates the mind and body. It is a combination of herbal massage oil, steam baths, cleansing enemas, proper and healthy diet, plus other practices to purify the mind and body.

The main therapies used under Panchakarma are as follows:
  • Vamana - medical vomiting
  • Virechana - purgation
  • Nasya - detoxifying nasal cavity with ayurvedic drugs
  • Basti - enema therapy
  • Raktamokshan - bloodletting or blood purification
  • Purpose of Vamana
Vamana therapy includes medical vomiting. The doctor will induce controlled vomiting, which will stop after a definite amount of time. It starts with ghee intake and oil abhyang followed by vomiting and ends with a restricted diet plan. It is mainly used to extract the Kapha doshas from the body. Cold and cough are caused when Kapha doshas increase. Sometimes medicines can treat ailments, but if Kapha dosha has increased severely, then Vamana has to performed to throw it out of the body completely. Kapha is situated in the chest region and will be easy to remove. After bringing Kapha doshas in the stomach, vomiting is induced. The duration for Vamana is approximately 13-15 days.

Benefits of Vamana

The major benefits of Vamana are as follows:

  • Improves digestion
  • Improves metabolism
  • Restores health
  • Helps to improve immunity and strength
  • Helps to improve the chances of fertility
  • Sense organs and mind will be cleared
  • Slows down aging
  • Complexion becomes clear
  • Helps to maintain a healthy lifestyle
  • Indications for Vamana therapy

Vomiting therapy could be considered in two ways:
  • If Kapha dosha increases and leads to some sickness or disease
  • Kapha and combined with pitta dosha creates illness to a person

Panchakarma therapy is good for improving mind and body strength. A strict diet and lifestyle need to be followed while under ayurvedic treatment for the best outcome. Vamana therapy is a must for people who have Kapha body type and need to be treated occasionally. Various seasons can induce Kapha doshas; hence, everyone needs to take care of their health. Sudden climatic changes could also lead to Kapha doshas. Detoxification is vital for a healthy living. At SKK Ayurveda and Panchakarma, doctors help to treat and detoxify the mind and body for a happier and healthier life.

Ayurveda Beauty Therapy Is Gaining Immense Popularity

Ayurveda heals you from within with the help of natural ways and ingredients. It's a 5000 years old ancient health care tradition. It has been practiced by people throughout ages and the word comes from the Sanskrit terms ayur which means life and veda which means knowledge.

Ayurveda had been documented centuries ago in historical texts known as the Vedas. The medical branch has also evolved over the years and has been integrated with other traditional practices like yoga.

Ayurveda is immensely popular all over the world but is essentially practiced on the Indian subcontinent. More than 80 to 90 percent of Indians use some form of Ayurvedic medicine. Recently, this branch of medicine has gained immense popularity in Western countries as well.

While the entire world is embracing the ancient medical science of Ayurveda, it must be noted that it is not only because of the power of Ayurveda to make one look better. But it is also because Ayurveda helps one to rejuvenate and heal the entire body from within.

Ayurveda: The best alternative to all commercially present Medical Treatments

Ayurveda Treatments, being the most natural way to heal any medical issue is the best alternative to other treatments present. The medical branch uses natural ways, ingredients, habits, and discipline to cure any health issue. With more and more people becoming conscious about their health, Ayurveda has become the best-opted option. It doesn’t restrict itself to treat a particular disease but comprehensively help people to maintain good health.

Ayurveda Beauty Therapy

Ayurveda beauty therapy helps in keeping skin, hair, and the overall outlook of a person healthy. Rather than looking at the disease or condition, Ayurveda looks at the host the vulnerabilities that an individual is under. If a proper Ayurvedic lifestyle is followed, it can seamlessly keep all kinds of health issues at bay. Several Ayurvedic facials, sound-touch-sight therapies, and eye care therapies can help one rejuvenate their looks and feel more confident.

 Is Ayurveda safe?

For thousands of years, Ayurvedic medicines have been used by people. There are no side effects of them as they are made from natural ingredients and are mostly organic. This is one of the most important reasons why Ayurveda has been gaining wide-spread popularity.  However, one must consult a physician or other health care professional, before opting for any Ayurvedic treatment.
